When we are shining the light of Jesus, we just might help others see Jesus in a new light. When we are shining the light of Jesus, we just might help Jesus come into focus for others in new, life-changing ways. When we are shining the light of Jesus, we might help others find a home with the body of Christ. And we can trust that there is no dimming or snuffing out the light of Jesus—John 1 tells us that darkness doesn’t overcome the light. The light is bright enough for all to see, and all are within reach of God’s loving grace.
We long to share the grace of God by being and doing good—serving in ways that are pleasing to God. And we follow Jesus, who leads us on the way of radical love. (Luke 6:35) May the good we do today and always point others to God.
When we follow Jesus, we are set apart to love in ways that go beyond our imagination. We are called to love God and love our neighbors even when it is hard, and we seek to know and be known by our neighbors and our community so that we bear witness to Christ in all that we say and do.
With each new day, we relive the journey with Jesus over and over. Following, again and again. Going the distance with faith and love and sacrifice. How will our daily walk with Jesus reflect a life well-lived?
When we walk in the light of Christ and follow closely our lives are changed. We discover forgiveness, healing, peace, and belonging in transforming ways.
God goes with us, especially in times of difficulty and struggle.
